Open Male & Female Beach Sprint, Beach Flags, Single Ski, Board, Surf Race, Ironperson, 3 person taplin relay, Open Surf Boat, Open Male Belt Race.

U19 Male & Female

This year's ocean assault will commence with a new programming and point scoring system for all events.

All events listed above will be conducted with a maximum point allocation for first place in all finals, scaling down to minimal points for last place in the final.  Only event finals will generate points for athletes wishing to qualify into their respective age finals.

There will be surf sports forums conducted across Queensland throughout September to give further explanation as to how the 2008/2009 surf sports season will be conducted for all events.  This will be notified to all branches and clubs via circular by Friday 5th September 2008.
